Tonight as I was making dinner, Tyler was playing Lego Star Wars for the Wii. Here is what my polite little mister said to his game:
Tyler: “Excuse me sir, but If you don’t mind, I’m gonna havta whoop you.
That’s fine?
Ok, you asked for it!!”
At least we have taught him to be polite
He is such a funny boy!

Today Shaun had a conversation with Tyler about his birthday dinner. Our kids get to choose where they want to go to dinner on their birthdays. There is a buffet here in Idaho called Chuck-o-rama. It just sounds nasty and we have never eaten there. Shaun was trying to get Tyler to say that he wanted to eat there as a joke to Mama. Here is how the conversation went:
Daddy: Tyler for your birthday tell Mommy that you want to go to a restaurant called Chuck-o-rama.
Tyler: Daddy, nooooo.
Daddy: Yes, they have pizza and mac n cheese and soda.
Tyler: No way, I wanna go to Chuck E Cheese, you fool!!!
After we stopped laughing hysterically, we had to correct him and tell him that you don’t call mommy or daddy a fool. But Man was it funny! Silly Daddy, that’s what you get for trying to play a trick on Mommy!

Well, it’s the new year. We have had to get back into the swing of things with school, chores and daily life. It has been quite a task, but we are moving right along. Brandon has been reviewing concepts in math. It always takes a bit to wake our minds up after a long break. He is doing quite well and reminding himself of the concepts that he has already learned. He is a full year ahead in math and science. We are very proud of him
Tyler will be 4 years old in 19 days! WOW! I can’t believe it! Monday began our first lesson of me teaching him to read. So far so good. He seems to really like learning and looks forward to when he can read mommy and daddy books at night.
Jeremiah is 5.5 months old. He is eating big boy baby food. He has been having rice cereal for a month or so. In addition, I have decided to make my own baby food because it is healthier and cheaper. So far he has only had butternut squash. He loves it! And it makes me feel good that I have made his food and I know he is getting the freshest and healthiest food possible.
These boys are my life and I love them so very much! Each day is a challenge and each day is a blessing. I could not be happier to be their mom. Each one has such a different personality. I feel like each one is a piece of my heart that I didn’t know I was missing until they came along. Being a mom is amazing. I was told once that being a mom is the hardest job that you’ll ever love. Boy is that true!
My prayer for the new year is that God would continue to strengthen our family. To strengthen my relationship with each of my kids. I pray that God would protect them. I pray that Brandon would grow in his faith and in his desire to know God more. I pray that Tyler and Jeremiah would come to know the Lord at an early age. I pray that God would continue to bless my marriage with Shaun, the man of my dreams. And that Shaun and I would show Gods love to our kids and to each person we meet. May we all be good stewards of the time that God has given us here on this earth. To Him be the glory!

What a fun night watching the Bronco’s whoop the Az horned frogs! Brandon, Shaun and I had a ball. The Bronco’s didn’t disappoint! The three of us shouted out loud and woke up poor Jeremiah when the Bronco’s made their last interception and won the game. BSU rocks!
