With all of the excitment of company and pregnancy, we almost didn’t get to dying Easter eggs this year. Luckily, I happened to see eggs for sale at Winco and remembered to buy them. We ended up dying them Easter eve. Better late than never, right?
The Easter Bunny has a special tradition at our house.. Each year when he comes, he brings Easter baskets for the kids BUT he hids them. So the kids have to go “Basket hunting” to find their goodies each year. As the kids get older, the hiding spots get harder. Needless to say - Brandon’s hiding spot was pretty hard this year
And later in the day we did a mini Easter egg hunt. Brandon hunted eggs too, but mainly to help Tyler. He’s getting too old and too cool for that kind of thing..
After hunting eggs, counting them and hugging them all; Tyler wanted to do it all over again. And again. And again..

Tyler and I have been joining a friend each Wednesday morning for story-time at the Nampa Library. Tyler loves it. They alternate reading a kids book and singing a song. Then they read, then they sing. It is a great mix for the active boys that my friend Natalie and I have..
Today, after story-time, Tyler and I were walking to our car and saw a firetruck parked outside of the fire station. Ty asked if we could go look at it. There was no one inside of the truck and they didn’t appear to be leaving, so I said yes. I guess that I underestimated the awesomeness of the Nampa Fire department. It was almost like they were waiting for us to walk up.. About 6 firemen came out of the station before we made it to the truck. I asked if it was ok for us to look at the truck, to which they responded, “Of course!”
They opened the truck up for Tyler and pulled out a plastic fireman’s hat to give to him. They gave him a sticker badge to wear on his shirt. They let him climb into the back of the truck to check out the hoses. He got to try on a pair of firefighter boots, sit in the drivers seat, put on the headphones and even turn on the lights and sirens! Tyler was in paradise!!
He has been telling Shaun and I that he wants to be a police man when he “grows so big,” but after today’s experience; he told me that now he wants to be a fireman when he grow so big
The Nampa Fire Department Rocks!!!

I had a wonderful birthday this year! It was a two-day celebration. We had the Hussey’s, Mom and Carly over after church on Sunday for a wonderful turkey dinner, cooked by a super handsome guy. Shaun went all out and did turkey, mashed potatos, gravy, rolls, corn and a “better than, better than anything cake.”
You see, we have had “better than anything” before. But Shaun gave it much thought, and improved on the recipe. He renamed it to “Better than, better than anything.” It truly was yummy!
On Monday, my actual birthday, Shaun and I went out for a date. Mom watched the kiddo’s and we headed off to P.F. Changs to satisfy my craving for some Mu Shu Pork.. Mmmmm! Then we went to see Fast and the Furious at the movies. I love racing movies and I love Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, so of course, I loved the movie!
I had a great time celebrating and feel very blessed by all of the phone calls, emails, and cards that I recieved! It really feels great to know that so many people love me!! Thank you everyone! Especially my husband and kids, for making my birthday GREAT!

Well, it snowed yesterday… Yah, I know. It’s April. But we live in Idaho. Apparently the state of Idaho doesn’t understand that it SHOULD be warming up by now!! That’s ok. Today was a warm 62 degrees and sunny. It really didn’t feel all that bad. I guess maybe we are getting used to the cold? Who knows, but it sure was nice for the boys to be able to go outside to play without freezing!

It looks like Tiger is attacking Brandon in these pictures. I thought that was so funny since Brandon really was the one chasing after him and playing with him. Anyway, our Tiger is getting old and can’t play as much as he used to; but here is Brandon attempting to squeeze a bit of playtime out with him. Our poor old man/dog.

A few weeks ago I planned a zoo trip. Daddy had a meeting that day, and brother decided he wanted to stay home. So Mommy and Tyler had a special zoo day together. The weather was not too cold and we enjoyed each other’s company. Although, it is not as easy to chase a 3 year old around at the zoo when you’re alone and six months pregnant. But we had a great time together!
I love you buddy! Thanks for the super fun day together! I love you lots! xoxo - Mommy

This is what happens when you leave a 3 year old all alone downstairs while you take a shower. Leftover pizza from the fridge and all theĀ Parmesan cheese he could pour.
